Shadows of The City
Mechanic and All-Around Good Guy
Mac runs a small but successful auto repair business specializing in vintage and foreign cars. There’s always someone in San Francisco wanting to spend their stock options on a killer car, but very few that realize all of the work that goes into owning and maintaining one. When things go wrong, they end up at Mac’s.
Mac has been in business for more than thirty years, and he’s hoping to someday turn the day-to-day operations over to his son Mickey and enjoy life. He and his wife Brenda want to travel and spend more time with their grandchildren, but there always seems to be something that comes up.
Mac knows everyone and everything that goes on in his area of the city, and has a wealth of contacts to draw upon. He’s easy to talk to, and people find themselves opening up to him, sometimes without even realizing that they’re doing it.
Mac’s fond of Valentina, and treats her like a slightly wayward niece. He has no idea what she does to that poor Karmann Ghia to make it break down so often, but he’s more than happy to keep fixing it.
