Martin (NOT Marty, thank you!) has been working for the city forever. At least it seems that way. Among other departments, he has worked in the County Clerks office, as a project manager in Public Works, and as a public relations assistant for the Office of the Mayor. He’s never been in the political spotlight, but Martin has worked quietly, behind the scenes, to build an impressive network within the political elite. His connections often give him more influence than the Board of Supervisors. He uses that influence to promote his personal political causes, such as LGBT rights, particularly marriage rights.

Half German and half Italian, Martin is attractive, but not in a movie-star way. He exercises enough to keep himself at a healthy weight, but no more. He can toss a few phrases around in Spanish, Italian, and four or five other languages, but isn’t really fluent in any of them. He campaigned against Prop 8, but he isn’t known for long-term relationships. What he IS known for is his fantastic Victorian townhouse and an orange, 1957 Corvette convertible.
